The line, with a width of 8.80 m, can produce multilayer BOPP films with a recycled content and thicknesses between 15 µm and 50 µm, the company reports. The capacity of the plant, supplied by Brückner Maschinenbau (Siegsdorf, Germany; www.brueckner-maschinenbau.com), is stated to be 35,000 t/y. The investment costs are estimated at EUR 70 mn.

The new plant is capable of producing pressure-sensitive top films for labels and other flexible packaging films, said Lucija Kralj, managing director of the company’s labels division. The thin labels are suitable for packaging consumer goods such as shampoos.
