Its new VL40 flow-wrap packaging film is a high-gloss, coextruded oriented polypropylene (OPP) solution that can be printed and sealed, the company said. The film delivers a very wide heat seal range and offers a very high puncture resistance to help preserve the product.
The grade was developed, trialed, and launched at Innovia Films’ site in Plock, Poland, and is available for testing, the company said.

Innovia Films also announced the launch of RayoForm ELR70, a five-layer, semi-cavitated, in-mould labeling film designed for large format containers used in the paint, food, and industrial markets. The white, coextruded OPP structure offers high stiffness that allows for bigger labels and larger sheet conversion, supporting containers of 5-25 litres, the company said. The film delivers high gloss after moulding.

The new film features treatment on both the matte and gloss side that allows for the control of anti-static levels for high-speed sheet feeding and moulding processes, the company said.
It is FDA-approved for food contact and performs excellently on both polypropylene and polyethylene containers, the company said.
