Clear BOPP film targets contoured containers
UK speciality films producer Innovia Films (Wigton; www.innoviafilms.com) has announced the launch of RayoWrap CMS, a clear BOPP film said to be suitable for small PP or PE bottles.

Produced at the company’s UK manufacturing facility, CMS30 provides high shrinkage, but only in the machine direction, which the company said makes it the perfect film for labeling contoured drinkable dairy and beverage containers. CMS30 is highly printable and designed to give outstanding 360-degree graphics around the whole label, according to the supplier.

The producer noted that film can be easily removed to aid recycling, or the whole container can be reclaimed in a polyolefin stream, which promotes the recyclability of the complete object and therefore meets packaging design recommendations from Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu).

At 30 microns, the film also has a high yield, so it is a cost-effective way to get all-round decoration of the container, the supplier added.
