Speciality films producer Infiana (Forchheim / Germany; www.infiana.com) has appointed Kim Meng Ng as vice president Asia. He now heads the Asian sales team and, together with the global vice presidents, is responsible for sales activities for all of the company's five key segments in that region. Kim Meng Ng has many years of experience in the packaging industry and the hygiene market. According to CCO Ingrid Sebald, Infiana sees the highest growth rates in Asia.

The German company has expanded its presence in Asia in recent months. In 2016, it formed a strategic partnership with the Chinese company Golden Umbrella Waterproofing – see Plasteurope.com of 05.07.2016. The two companies jointly develop products for the construction and waterproofing industries in the Chinese market.

Infiana employs approximately 800 people at production sites in Forchheim, Samutsakorn / Thailand and Malvern, Pennsylvania / USA. The company serves the personal care (film products for packaging of hygiene items), health care (release, process and packaging films), building and construction (release and surface films), composites (release and process films) and pressure sensitive (silicone-coated release films) markets. In 2016, the Infiana group generated a turnover of EUR 200m.
