Speciality films producer Infiana (Forchheim / Germany; www.infiana.com) appointed Stefan Herfurth as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company group on 1 January 2017. In this position, he holds responsibility for production throughout the group with its three sites in Malvern (Pennsylvania / USA), Forchheim (Germany) and Samutsakorn (Thailand).

Herfurth was already vice president of the films division at the Huhtamaki packaging group when Infiana split from the group two years ago through an MBO (see Plasteurope.com of 16.01.2015). "We are delighted to have Stefan Herfurth back on board again", says CEO Peter Wahsner. Also on 1 January, Sabine Wieser took over responsibility for global human resources.

Infiana achieved sales of EUR 205m in 2016 with a headcount of 800.
