Klöckner expands its automotive parts business / Takes a stake in CEFA in Spain
Inerga Plasticos SA (Carretera B 142 a, E-08213 Polinya), a subsidiary of Eurotec Systemteile GmbH (D-79264 Bötzingen) and part of the automotive parts division of Klöckner-Werke AG (PO Box 100853, D-47008 Duisberg) has acquired a 50% stake in Celulosa Fabril SA (CEFA, Zaragoza, Spain). The remaining 50% of CEFA will be retained by the founder family Blanchard. According to KW, CEFA is one of the leading Spanish manufacturers of plastic parts for automotive interiors. This year turnover will be DM 40m with a labour force of 270.
The acquisition consolidates Inerga's position as the leading Spanish manufacturer of plastic parts for the automotive industry. CEFA and Inerga are complementary in their customer base, and the Zaragoza site is an ideal addition to Klöckner's existing network of locations.
