In early July 2012, Ineos Technologies (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) signed a licensing deal with Rosneft (Moscow / Russia; www.rosneft.com) subsidiary Vostochnaya Neftechemicheskaya Company (VNHK) for its “Innovene G” (LLDPE/HDPE), “Innovene S” (HDPE) and “Innovene PP” processes. Financial details were not disclosed.

VNHK is currently in the engineering phase of a new petrochemical complex located in Nakhodka, on the easternmost border of Russia, near Vladivostok. The complex will produce both polyethylene and polypropylene as well as what the companies said was “a range of other petrochemical products” and in a first stage will have an overall output of 3.4m t/y.
The contract is Ineos Technologies’ second with Rosneft, following the Swiss group’s having licensed its “Innovene S” technology to Rosneft’s 345,000 t/y HDPE and LLDPE swing plant in Angarsk, Siberia – see Plasteurope.com of 12.10.2010.
