The Luran S Med grade shows chemical resistance against alcohols or alcohol-based disinfectants, as well as resistance against quaternary ammonium or glutaral based disinfectants, the company said. High impact strength at room temperature and lower temperatures (5°C) leads to better protection of devices, where, according to the company, the material avoids cracking failures when a device drops to the floor.

Ineos Styrolution said Luran S Med is available in natural and white and is an alternative to standard ABS materials.
Luran S Eco Med contains 40% renewable content resulting in a carbon footprint reduction of up to 52% compared to fossil based Luran S, the company added.
