Improved UV stabilisation in additive package for Luran S ASA grades
German resin maker Ineos Styrolution (Frankfurt; www.ineos-styrolution.com) has launched an additive package that it claims improves UV stabilisation for its Luran S acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) formulations and its Luran S Eco products.

The Luran S materials provide properties needed for demanding outdoor applications, such as automotive or construction, where it offers high surface quality and good impact strength including colour deepness when exposed to UV irradiation and heat, as well as chemical resistance, the company says.

The elevated UV stabilisation of the Luran S SPF60 additive package make it suitable for exterior trims, rear-view mirrors, and dual-design front grilles in the automotive industry, claims Ineos.

“Luran S SPF60 is to be available in addition to the already existing SPF30 additive package,” it added.
