Global PET leader Indorama Ventures (IVL, Bangkok / Thailand; www.indoramaventures.com) has introduced a new pellet variety under its “Deja” sustainable solutions brand – the “Deja Carbon Neutral” PET pellet, which is a certified carbon-neutral variety, according to the company.
The Thai giant claims that the new variety has been sustainably produced, and thus helps environmentally conscious companies achieve their sustainability targets by lowering their Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. The Deja portfolio includes sustainable PET, rPET, polymer and fiber range of products available across flake, pellet, fiber and filament ingredients.
As part of its sustainability goals, Indorama aims to achieve 25% renewable electricity of total power consumption by 2030, and has pledged USD 1.5 bn (EUR 1.25 bn) towards meeting its targets. IVL has around 24,000 employees worldwide and reported a consolidated revenue of USD 10.6 bn in 2020.
