Rigid plastic packaging producer Incoplas (Brussels / Belgium; www.incoplas.com) has launched a new 1 l bi-oriented HDPE bottle using Total Refining & Chemicals’ (Brussels / Belgium; www.totalrefiningchemicals.com) “SB 1359” resin. The company first started using the Total (Paris / France; www.total.com) subsidiary’s proprietary HDPE for ISBM bottle production in late 2012 – see Plasteurope.com of 24.09.2012.
The bottle, which offers a weight reduction potential of up to 50% compared to equivalent blow-moulded bottles, is used by Italian detergents producer Icefor (Magenta; www.icefor.com) for dish washing refill, and is available in Unes (www.unes.it) stores across Italy.
The bottles are characterised by light weight and high resistance. Thanks to the ISMB technology, they also have a soft touch, and in addition to that are transparent, too. Incoplas said the range is available in bottles up to 1 l, adding that it is looking for additional partners to develop new customised packaging solutions.
