Distributing Solvay's specialty fluoropolymer range
Dutch speciality chemicals distributor IMCD (Rotterdam; www.imcdgroup.com) has signed a pan-European agreement with Solvay Specialty Polymers (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvayplastics.com) for its 'Tecnoflon FKM' fluoroelastomer product line used in the rubber industry. The deal, effective immediately, includes automotive, aerospace, energy as well as the oil and gas market sectors where high purity and long service life are essential, said IMCD.
Used for sealing applications in aggressive chemical and high heat environments, Tecnoflon FKM products are compatible with a wide range of fluids and chemicals including automotive lubricants, fuels, and additives, IMCD added. Marc-Antoine Ligny, manager of plastics/rubber in IMCD France, commented: “The range seamlessly complements our current portfolio of speciality rubber products and will enable IMCD to maximise market penetration." IMCD has a turnover of more than EUR 1.4 bn and is present in 39 countries across Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.
