ILLIG
Debuting new “FSL 48” form, fill and seal line at “interpack” fair / Thermoforming solutions for food industry / Integrated in-mould labelling station
German thermoforming and packaging machinery and tool manufacturer Illig (Heilbronn; www.illig.de) will introduce its new “FSL 48” form, fill and seal line at the upcoming "interpack" packaging fair (www.interpack.com), held from 8-14 May in Düsseldorf / Germany. Designed to meet the demands of the food – and especially the dairy – industry, the line includes an in-mould labelling station that can decorate packs directly during the thermoforming process. It also is capable of realising most conventional cup geometries, Illig said.
FSL 48 can be equipped to meet a variety of different food industry requirements, and its thermoformer’s format area – measuring 480x320 mm – allows for the manufacture of 12 standard dairy packs. The line, which can process all conventional materials (including PS, PP, multilayer materials like PS/EVOH/PE, APET and even PLA), is capable of producing 30 cycles per minute. FSL 48 also is capable of processing head-sealable lid materials, Illig said.
Thanks to its integrated in-mould labelling station, the machine can realise up to five-sided decorations, including u-shaped or featuring a bottom decoration such as an integrated barcode.
