Martin Engelmann to head German plastic packaging association

At the end of 2019, Germany’s plastic packaging industry association Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK, Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de) will see Martin Engelmann become its new general manager. He is the director general of the German paints and printing inks industry association, Verband der deutschen Lack- und Druckfarbenindustrie (VdL, Frankfurt; www.wirsindfarbe.de), since 2015. Before that, he had leadership roles at PlasticsEurope and the German chemical industry association Verband der Chemischen Industrie (VCI).
Engelmann will take over the role from Jürgen Bruder – see Plasteurope.com of 22.01.2018 – who is retiring after more than 28 years of working with IK.
