IFS CHEMICALS
Sustainable polyol plant brought on stream
A sustainable polyol production facility based on locally grown rape seed oil has been brought on line by IFS Chemicals (Roydon, Norfolk / UK; www.ifs-group.com). The polyol is being used by a selected number of IFS customers for production of rigid PU foam, with positive feedback from both processors and end-users.

The production unit has a capacity of 6 t/day and plans are already under consideration for a larger plant. IFS has supplied similar polyol facilities to India, Malaysia and Brazil based, respectively, on sunflower, coconut and soya bean oils.
