IDEMITSU KOSAN
Agreement to transfer PPS to Lion Idemitsu Composites
Idemitsu Kosan (Tokyo / Japan; www.idemitsu.com) has decided to transfer its PPS resins business to fellow Tokyo-based Lion Idemitsu Composites (www.ilcc.co.jp) effective 1 October. In a statement, Idemitsu, which has been expanding its PPS resins business since 1987, said its goal with the transaction was to improve business efficiencies as well as to enhance product line-ups and business scopes.

As part of the deal, Lion Idemitsu Composites, a joint venture created in 2010 by both Idemitsu Kosan and speciality chemicals producer Lion Corporation (Tokyo / Japan; www.lion.co.jp), will take over and handle all transactional relationships with customers who have been doing business with Idemitsu Kosan.
