Thilo Klein appointed president of International Confederation of Plastics Packaging Manufacturers

At its general assembly meeting in March, the International Confederation of Plastics Packaging Manufacturers (ICPP, Bad Homburg / Germany; www.icpp.org) elected Thilo Klein (Schütz) as president for the next four years. He follows Jerry Geyer's (Greif) four-year presidency – see Plasteurope.com of 13.06.2014. In addition, delegates from Europe, the US, Asia and Africa unanimously elected Chris Lind (Mauser) and Dave Tatz (Megapack) as vice presidents for another four years.
The ICPP secretariat is hosted by Germany's plastics packaging industry association, Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK, Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de). IK managing director Jürgen Bruder is also general secretary of the international organisation. ICPP is accredited with consultative status to the UN and regularly attends meetings of the UN's sub-committee of experts on the transport of dangerous goods in Geneva / Switzerland.
