HUSKY
Presence at “Chinaplas” through recently-acquired Schöttli subsidiary
Canadian injection moulding machinery maker Husky Injection Molding Systems (Bolton, Ontario; www.husky.ca) has said that Swiss medical and closure mould maker Schöttli (Diessenhofen; www.schoettli.com), which it acquired in December 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 04.03.2014 – is exhibiting its mould technology for medical and speciality closure applications at the current “Chinaplas” fair in Shanghai (www.chinaplasonline.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 23.04.2014.
The company’s exhibit will showcase its latest mould making technology for select medical applications, including syringes, infusion/transfusion products, diagnostic systems and feminine care items. Husky’s “Easycube” mould technology, designed for moulding multi-material closures, will also be demonstrated.
Schöttli president, Thomas Anderegg, said: “Chinaplas has always been an important show for Schöttli and we are very excited to be exhibiting this year together with Husky. Asia Pacific is a growing market, particularly for medical moulds, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to connect with our customers in this region and demonstrate the combined capabilities of Schöttli and Husky.”
