Follow-up: Schöttli acquisition now complete
Canadian injection moulding machinery maker Husky Injection Molding Systems (Bolton, Ontario; www.husky.ca) announced in late December it had completed the acquisition of Swiss medical and closure mould maker Schöttli (Diessenhofen; www.schoettli.com) - for previous coverage, see Plasteurope.com of 05.11.2013.
Husky said the purchase not only deepens its knowledge in the medical applications field, but also provides "the expertise to build the strongest melt delivery system in the medical market." It added that the Swiss group’s portfolio also complements its closures market while extending its reach in both established and emerging markets.
