HUSKY
Introducing the “Husky World Tour 2013” series of global customer events / No presence at “K 2013”
Canadian injection moulding machinery maker Husky Injection Moulding Systems (Bolton, Ontario; www.husky.ca) will not be exhibiting at this year’s “K 2013” (www.k-online.de) plastics mega-fair, held from 16 to 23 October 2013 in Düsseldorf / Germany. Neither will the company be present at “Drinktec” (www.drinktec.com), held from 16-20 September in Munich / Germany. The reason: Instead of showing presence at tradeshows, Husky has decided to focus on a series of global customer events, held under the aegis of the “Husky World Tour 2013”.
The new format features a range of local customer events, aimed at providing targeted solutions to help clients reduce variability, improve part cost and increase productivity. However, it remains to be seen whether the new approach, which includes presentations and technical demonstrations as well as networking opportunities, is a recipe for success.
Husky kicked off its 2013 world tour with a “Beverage Packaging Day” in South Korea, which was frequented by more than 100 attendees, and will soon be hosting a “Specialty Closures Day” in Europe as well as a “Beverage Packaging Day” in Latin America.
