The Advanced Materials division of US chemicals producer Huntsman (The Woodlands, Texas; www.huntsman.com) has extended its existing distribution agreement with Antala Industria (Barcelona / Spain; www.antala.es). The latter is now marketing the US group’s “Araldite” adhesives family in the UK and Ireland through its local office in Stockport / UK.

The two companies first began working together in 2008, when Antala started marketing the Araldite range in Spain and Portugal. The agreement was expanded in 2013, with the Spanish group becoming the main distributor of Huntsman’s entire formulated systems range in the region, including Araldite, composites and electrical insulation systems.

At the same time, the US company also confirmed its agreement with Samaro (Beynost / France; http://samaro.fr/en), aimed at strengthening its distribution network in France. The latter had acquired Huntsman’s long-term distributor DIL (Thouaré-sur-Loire / France; www.dilfrance.com) in April this year.

Araldite is used across the industrial, consumer and construction markets and is available as an epoxy, phenolic, PU or methacrylate adhesive, or as a hot melts. Huntsman offers about 340 different members of the family.
