New production plant for moulded EPS parts in Poland
Recent investors at the Special Economic Zone in Lodz / Poland include HSV Polska (Lodz; www.hsv.pl), a subsidiary of HSV Packaging & Insulation (P&I, Ede / Netherlands; www.hsv.nl), which produces moulded EPS and EPP packaging and insulation. HSV Polska has purchased a 5 ha plot to expand its present facility. Investment will be around EUR 3.5m and start-up of the new plant, which is scheduled for 2012, will create 30 jobs.
Reasons for the investment include an order from Indesit (Fabriano / Italy; www.indesit.com), one of Europe’s largest producers of domestic appliances such as cookers and clothes dryers, which also has a presence in Lodz.
HSV Packaging & Insulation already has three facilities in Poland – in Lodz, Wroclaw and Pruszkow. The HSV Group also comprises HSV Technical Moulded Parts (TMP), which produces technical parts using injection moulding and PUR RIM technology.
