HOLLAND COLOURS
Coenraad Vinke nominated as CEO / New additive for frosted-look PET surfaces
Coenraad Vinke has been nominated to be CEO of Holland Colours (Apeldoorn / The Netherlands; www.hollandcolours.com), with effect from 1 May 2018. He will succeed Rob Harmsen, who has been in the position since January 2012. Vinke is currently vice president, head of Flexible Packaging USA/Canada, at German printing ink producer Siegwerk in the US. During his career he has worked at Sicpa, Fenner Dunlop and AkzoNobel.
The company has also announced that Joe Bauer is the new division director Americas and president of Holland Colours Americas since 1 January 2018.
The Dutch company recently developed a new additive for PET bottles called "Frost", which enables a frosted look and can replace spray-on or painted effects. Holland Colours says Frost was made to replicate the premium look and soft texture of frosted glass, but in a lightweight, less costly and scuff-resistant material. Frost colours can also be customised to match branding.
Holland Colours produces liquid and solid colourants, masterbatches and additives for colouring PVC for construction applications as well as for PET and polyolefin packaging. In addition to the plant at its headquarters in Apeldoorn, the company operates production facilities in Hungary, the US and Indonesia.
