The Hirsch Group (HQ: Hirsch Servo AG, A-9555 Glanegg 58) is still pursuing its expansion drive. Over the first three quarters of the 1997/98 financial year (30.06), sales rose 25% to ATS 257.4m (some DEM 36m). Sales of ATS 317.7m are expected for the year as a whole. Hirsch operates in the field of EPS packaging, EPS machine and plant engineering, insulating materials and presentation systems. Group company, Thermozell Entwicklungs- und Vertriebs GmbH (A-9555 Glanegg 58), which is specialised in the recycling of EPS packaging and moulding waste into lightweight concrete, succeeded in acquiring a number of big orders. These include the supply of lightweight concrete for the thermally-insulating base element of an arcade at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.
