EPS processor adds injection moulding ops via purchase of Czech car parts supplier
With its acquisition of Czech automotive component maker Renostav (Zábřeh na Moravě; www.renostav.cz), Austrian EPS parts producer Hirsch Servo (Glanegg; www.hirsch-gruppe.com) has taken its first step into the world of injection moulding. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The latest addition brings the number of Hirsch factories in the Czech Republic to five, and the facilities are to be run by new MD Raska Zdenek. The company added two plants there in 2021.
According to a spokesperson, Hirsch sees synergies with its existing EPS and EPP moulded parts business in the collaboration with Renostav, which also produces light volumes for household appliances. However, the main business is parts for car interiors, such as window regulators and radios.
Changes coming
The spokesperson also announced that the company, which currently employs 35 people, is to diversify its activities in the medium term. Renostav mainly processes ABS and polycarbonate, but did not specify the respective volumes when asked by Plasteurope.com.
