Merger with Moldex-Wieser / 1997/98 Group sales above ATS 365m
The Hirsch Group (HQ: Hirsch Servo AG, A-9555 Glanegg 58) is reporting strong growth rates for the 1997/98 financial year (30.06.). According to the provisional figures, sales rose to ATS 365.3m (DEM 51.9m), representing an increase of 26%. Profit on ordinary activities rose 35% to ATS 42.5m. Hirsch is active in the business segments of EPS packaging, EPS machine and plant construction, insulating materials and presentation systems.
Hirsch Servo recently announced its merger with the block and cutting machine producer, Moldex-Wieser (Ricoweg M 37, A-2351 Wiener Neudorf). A joint holding company is being founded as the first step, with the Hirsch Group having an 80% share and Moldex-Wieser a 20% share. The recently acquired company, Berndorf Italia, now renamed Hirsch Italia, which is similarly active in this field of business, is to be integrated in the holding in a second stage. Moldex-Wieser has a payroll of 16 and sales of ATS 55m. The chief sales markets for its block and cutting machines, which are used in the insulating material field, are Eastern Europe and the USA.
