Heyco-Werk Heynen (Remscheid / Germany; www.heyco.de) reports a doubling of capacity at its Czech plant in Pisek, following the beginning of the year. Despite the significant effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the extensive expansion work was completed on schedule. “With the additional 6,000 m² of production and logistics space, we are nearly doubling our present footprint and securing the site for the growth of the coming years,” said Josef Hrouda, CEO of Heyco CZ (Pisek; www.heyco.cz).
In Pisek, a workforce of around 125 manufactures technically demanding components for the automotive industry on 30 injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 500-17,000 kN. Complex welding and assembly processes are also carried out on site, as is measuring in the newly equipped testing laboratory.
Markus Heynen, managing partner of the Heyco group, said the prospects are good at the site, which is located in western Czech Republic. “This expansion (…) will enable us to achieve significant growth within the group.”
