Expansion of pigment production capacity in Germany / Second automated calcination manufacturing line to begin operations in October
Organic and inorganic pigment producer Heubach (Langelsheim / Germany; www.heubachcolor.de) is expanding its capacity to produce complex inorganic colour pigments (CICPs), marketed under the “Heucodur” brand and developed for use across a wide range of applications, including plastics. The company established its first fully automated calcination technology production line in Langelsheim in 2013 and will put a second line into operation at the end of October 2016.
CICPs, manufactured in a high-temperature calcination process at above 800 °C, meet rising quality standards while taking ecological issues into account, the company said. They fulfil the requirements for weathering resistance as well as chemical and temperature stability and combine opacity with dispersibility.
Heubach operates locations in Germany, the US, India and China, is an owner-operated and internationally active manufacturer of corrosion protection pigments as well as organic and inorganic colour pigments, hybrid pigments and pigment preparations for use in the plastics, paint, ink and construction industries, as well as for other high-quality special applications.
