Precision injection moulder Helvoet (Tilburg / The Netherlands; www.helvoet.com) has expanded its class 7 cleanroom at its manufacturing location in Tilburg for medical devices and polymer consumables. The Dutch company said the 200% increase in capacity is due to the growth in its microfluidics business, and it has planned various replication technologies for devices to launch in 2020.
Helvoet is a founding member of the “Flow Alliance” – see Plasteurope.com of 23.07.2018 – which is a collaboration covering the development and production of polymer and hybrid microfluidic components. The other alliance partners are Micronit (Enschede / The Netherlands; www.micronit.com) and Axxicon (Eindhoven / The Netherlands; www.axxicon.com).
