Large order for injection moulding machines from Wittmann Battenfeld / Equipment needed for new plant in Dominican Republic and capacity expansion in China

Austrian machinery manufacturer Wittmann Battenfeld (Kottingbrunn; www.wittmann-group.com) has signed an agreement to supply a series of injection moulding machines to household products and appliance manufacturer Hayco (Hong Kong / China; www.hayco.com.hk). Under the agreement, which spans the next 5-10 years, Wittmann Battenfeld will supply the machines for Hayco’s new injection moulding and assembly plant in the Dominican Republic as well as for the expansion of three plants in Shenzhen / China. It will provide more than 100 units of its "SmartPower" servo-hydraulic injection machines, "MacroPower" series large injection machines, as well as the central feeding system and peripheral auxiliary equipment.
Hayco is investing more than USD 50m in the Dominican Republic facility to expand its global footprint and improve deliveries to Europe and the USA. The plant is scheduled to start up in 2017.
