GREINER
Expansion on an international scale / Above average growth in Asia and US
The Greiner Holding AG (PO Box 6, A-4550 Kremsmünster) continued to expand in its financial year 1995-96 that ended on 30 April. Active at 44 locations in western and eastern Europe, China, Japan and the US, the group specialised in foam, packaging, laboratory, extrusion, cork and sealing technology increased sales 11% to ATS 4.65bn. Cash flow widened nearly 4% to ATS 520m. While business in Germany and Austria was hit by the soft EU economies, growth was above average in Asia and the US. For the current year, a 10-15% rise in sales is predicted. Foam technology, the largest product segment, had sales of ATS 2.05bn in 1995-96, packaging ATS 876m. The extrusion and associated machinery segment, which claims to be market leader for extrusion tools, improved turnover to ATS 822m. The laboratory division, with ATS 698m in sales, set up business in the Hungarian market.
