A new 205m² cleanroom has been completed by Austrian packaging group Greiner Packaging International(Kremsmünster; www.greiner-gpi.com) at its Rastatt / Germany site. The ISO 8 facility certified according to EN ISO 14644-1 can be upgraded to class ISO 7 within just a few days. The company said the construction provides for a dust- and germ-free working atmosphere, required in particular for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging. In the medium term, Greiner said the Rastatt site aims at certification according to GMP DIN ISO 15378:2006 for the cleanroom sector.
