GREINER PACKAGING
Sleeved PP bottles launched in Russia
Austrian packaging manufacturer Greiner Packaging (Kremsmünster; www.greiner-gpi.com) has launched its sleeved PP bottles with snap-on closures in Russia. The 550 g bottles are used to pack Heinz mustard and ketchup products, which were previously decorated with labels. Using a sleeve enlarges the communication area on the bottles, Greiner said.
The company, which has a joint venture production site near Moscow, already supplies premium packaging for dairy and delicatessen products to the Russian market. Russia’s dairy market is valued at approximately EUR 10 bn, with annual growth rates of 3-5%, Greiner said. The most important product groups are milk, sour milk, yoghurt, curds and desserts, it added.
