Greiner Packaging (Kremsmünster / Austria; www.greiner-gpi.com) has simplified its structure and made its management more transparent to provide a framework for its future development. Greiner Packaging International, formerly part of Greiner Packaging GmbH, became legally established as a separate entity on 1 September 2009. The company, which is not engaged in operational activities in packaging, will become the holding entity for the business, embracing associated Greiner production companies. Greiner Packaging GmbH will become a 100% independent subsidiary of Greiner Packaging International.
Greiner Packaging International is located in Micheldorf / Austria and is headed by CEO Willi Eibner. The headquarters of Greiner Packaging remain in Kremsmünster / Austria where Werner Ninaus is managing director. In 2008, Greiner Packaging reported annual sales of EUR 376m – 34% of the total Greiner Group sales. It has 2,935 employees at 21 production sites throughout Europe.
