GREINER PACKAGING
Everything for a traditional "Sambuca con Mosca"
All the ingredients for the traditional Sambuca drinking ritual are now available in a single pack, thanks to a collaboration between Greiner Packaging (Kremsmünster / Austria; www.greiner-gpi.com) and the Krugmann distillery to develop an innovative packaging solution.

The “bottle in a bottle” consists of two PET containers, one within the other. The inner holds 0.7 litres of Sambuca while the outer provides space for the coffee beans. The beans can be removed for addition to the liqueur through an opening that has been stamped into the container wall and decorated with a label. A book of matches which hangs around the neck can be used to light the mixture.

Sambuca is traditionally served with three coffee beans and lit before drinking. As a result, the raw beans become roasted within seconds in the burning liqueur.
