GREINER PACKAGING
Re-sealable containers for sausage spread
Maresi Austria has chosen plastic containers manufactured by Greiner Packaging (Kremsmünster / Austria; www.greiner-gpi.com) rather than traditional artificial sausage casings or cans for three new sausage spreads in its Inzersdorfer range (www.inzersdorfer.at).

Greiner Packaging stresses that the main advantages of the new packaging are convenience, product safety and ability to keep products fresh. Consumers can remove the spreads easily without getting their fingers greasy. The technologically advanced clip-on lid is easy to open and fits snugly even when the container has been opened and closed several times, so the contents do not become dry or discoloured.
These new PP containers have a barrier layer that allows pasteurisation for 30 minutes at nearly 90°C after filling. Labels are affixed to the sides and base, while the lid is pre-printed.
