Chinese facilities now officially open
Automotive supplier Grammer (Amberg / Germany; www.grammer.de) officially inaugurated its two new Chinese production facilities at Tianjin and Changchun on 23 and 25 May 2006. Parts for automotive interiors (Changchun) and seats for rail vehicles, trucks and construction machines (Tianjin) have been in production in China since the end of 2005. The facilities employ a total of 370. Companies supplied by Grammer include VW and GM, the two biggest foreign car makers in China. Tianjin is regarded as a central location for the entire Asian market.
