Collaborating with Nampak on “hole-through-the-wall” HDPE blow moulding facility / Deal worth close to EUR 10m annually
Nutrition group Glanbia Consumer Foods (Kildare, Ireland; www.glanbia.com) is building an HDPE blow moulding plant at its fresh milk packaging facility in Kildare. The collaborative project with Nampak Plastics Europe (Newport Pagnell / UK; www.eu.nampak.com) is due to be completed in June next year, and will allow the company to save 40 truck deliveries per week to the Irish site. Local media report that the deal between Glanbia and Nampak is worth almost EUR 10m per year. Further details were not disclosed.
Part of South African packaging giant Nampak (Sandton; www.nampak.co.za), Nampak Plastics Europe operates nine blow moulding sites in the UK, including several “hole-through-the-wall” facilities for the dairy and drinks industries.
