Expansion at European technology centre
GE Plastics (GEP, Bergen op Zoom / The Netherlands; www.geplastics.com) has added a "2700 MX" injection compression moulding machine from Krauss-Maffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.krauss-maffei.de) to its machinery park at the European technical application centre in Bergen op Zoom / The Netherlands. At the beginning of 2006, it plans to install a new thermoforming machine with twin sheet capacity. GE said the new state-of-the-art machinery will enable the development of materials for large parts such as exterior automotive body panels and glazing.
