CEO change for the Italian automation specialist

Effective 2 May 2017, Alberto Bartoli is the new CEO of the Italian machine and component builder Gefran (Provaglio d'Iseo; www.gefran.com). His predecessor, Maria-Chiara Franceschetti, head of the company since 2014 and daughter of the founder Ennio Franceschetti, moves to the supervisory board. Bartoli comes from the household gas appliances producer Sabaf (Ospitaletto / Italy; www.sabaf.it), where he has been CEO since 2012.
In the past three years under Maria-Chiara Franceschetti, Gefran has pursued a strong internationalisation strategy, with products such as control systems, electric transmission and converters as well as injection moulding and blow moulding machines. In 2016, the group generated a consolidated revenue of EUR 119.3m. Gross profit is valued at EUR 11.3m and earnings at EUR 3.9m.
