Automotive foams jv established in Hungary
PU converter FS Fehrer Automotive (Kitzingen / Germany; www.fehrer.com) and Rába Automotive Holding (Gyor / Hungary; www.raba.hu) have formed a joint venture to produce foams for the automotive industry. The companies are to invest EUR 12m in the Fehrer-Rába Automotive jv, which will be based at Rába’s components business unit in Mór / Hungary, increasing capacity at the facility by over 250%. The plant is scheduled to begin operating in October 2009.
Fehrer is the jv’s majority holder with 70%. It will contribute equipment, expertise and experience to the jv, while Rába’s 30% share is gained through the contribution of the work force and the current capacity at the site.
