Cooperation in vibration damping and acoustic technology / Strengthened role as systems supplier of the automobile industry
The companies Carl Freudenberg (D-69465 Weinheim) and Phoenix AG (PO Box 900854, D-21048 Hamburg) have concluded a long term cooperation agreement. The companies plan to operate as system suppliers on a world wide basis, offering complete solutions to problems in the area of vibration damping and acoustic technology. Freudenberg and Phoenix will work together on a project basis, each concentrating on their respective core competencies in development and production.
According to their joint communique, this cooperation has resulted from the automotive firms' desire for international systems suppliers. Freudenberg and Phoenix complement each other well in these areas. Jointly they will be in the position to develop complete motor and drive train shock absorption and bearings systems in cooperation with the motor vehicle manufacturer, producing these in their respective factories on a world wide basis. Result ing from Phoenix-Stankiewicz's and Freudenberg's competencies in vehicle acoustics, motor vehicle manufacturers will be able to call upon a state of the art systems supplier for acoustic problems having world wide delivery capability. - The motor vehicle components supplier Stankiewicz GmbH (PO Box 278, D-29209 Celle) was sold by Preussag AG (Herrenstr. 5, D-30159 Hannover) to Phoenix.
