New polyamide fibre plant commissioned in Vietnam

Already in autumn last year, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC, Taipei / Taiwan; www.fcfc.com.tw) started up its new 47,000 t/y high-performance PA 6 plant near Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam. Output of the facility, which turns out full-dull or semi-dull chips, is earmarked for textile applications. Powered by Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s (Berlin / Germany; www.uhde-inventa-fischer.com) high-performance polyamide 6 technology (HPPA), the plant design allows for a fast and simple integration of another production line with about the same capacity.
