Film manufacturer Flexipol (Haslingden / UK; www.flexipol.co.uk), which belongs to the Synnovia group (London / UK; www.synnovia.com), is to integrate with Synpac (Hessle / UK) and Palagan (Dunstable / UK), with completion set to happen by the end of 2020. The Flexipol, Synpac and Palagan brands will remain unchanged on the market. Production will stay as is at each of the three UK manufacturing sites.

In parallel with the integration, Flexipol has invested in expanding production capacities at the three locations. While, specific capacities were not given, the company said there will be an additional 25% capacity from the investment.

Palagan manufactures PE packaging for industrial applications and has been part of Synnovia, formerly Plastics Capital, since 2008. Synpac, a manufacturer of vacuum bags and bags, has been part of the group since 2016 (see Plasteurope.com of 22.07.2016). Both companies were sold to Flexipol last year.

The Synnovia group includes hose supplier Bell Plastics (Poole / UK; www.bellplastics.co.uk), plastic bearings manufacturer BNL (Knaresborough / UK; www.bnl-bearings.com) and C&T Matrix (Wellingborough / UK; www.candtmatrix.com), a producer of creasing matrix for corrugated cardboard.
