FlexBlow (Kretinga / Lithuania; www.flexblow.com), producer of two-stage PET stretch blow moulding (SBM) technology, is building a new 3,500 m² manufacturing facility alongside its existing 10,000 m² site in Kretinga. Start-up is scheduled for July 2019.
The plant, which will also house a testing laboratory, will produce the 8-cavity hybrid SBM machine with capacity of up to 12,000 bottles per hour and bottle sizes from 10 ml to 1.5 litres. The new site is expected to transform FlexBlow's processes and operations by introducing a complete manufacturing environment based on the Industry 4.0 concept, which includes among others real-time data collection and localisation during production.
