Fitt S.p.A. (Via Piave, 4, I-36066 Sandrigo VI), Italy´s largest manufacturer of PVC flexible hose and pipe, is the undisputed European leader in its sector and a source of reference as well (see Plasteurope.com 02, 1999). Fitt comprises a group of companies with the Dutch company Rhederveld Holding & Trading BV. With a workforce of 410, the Group has total sales of EUR 75m and an output of 45,000 tonnes. Commercial offices (either associates or their own) are located in Germany, France, England, Spain, Poland.

In order to improve its global coverage, joint ventures and partnership agreements were recently finalized with Toyox of Japan and Nylex of Australia. For Fitt to meet the many and varied challenges of the American market, a partnership/joint venture agreement has been reached with one of America´s leading companies, Teknor Apex. Due to another successful partnership with a very important, but unnamed European company, Fitt products will now be produced and supplied in South Africa and neighbouring countries.

Fitt´s strength is undoubtedly the NTS (No Torsion-System), a garden hose with a unique helical knitted reinforcement that prevents any possibility of torsion or distortion caused by pressure from water mains.
