"Alcryn" MPR introduced as material in high quality cables
Ferro Spain (Almazora / Spain), part of Ferro Corp (Cleveland, Ohio / USA; www.ferro.com), has introduced "Alcryn" MPR (melt processible rubber) as material in high quality cables for the MIG/MAG welding process. Alcryn has proven to withstand the harsh environment at the ship building industry, showing excellent rubbery properties, as well as resistance against wear and tear, chemical resistance (oil, fuel, fats), Ferro says.

According to Ferro, Alcryn‘s high flexibility at freezing temperatures and resistance against welding sparks, makes it a superior material for this application and an alternative for previously used thermoset rubbers.
