FAKUMA
Plastics trade fair in Friedrichshafen fully booked out once again / Industry meeting point celebrates its anniversary
The entire exhibition space is booked out for this year's "Fakuma" plastics trade fair (www.fakuma-messe.de) in Friedrichshafen / Germany from 17 - 21 October 2017. Exhibition organiser P. E. Schall (Frickenhausen / Germany; www.schall-messen.de) reports that even previously unused reserve floor space in the two foyers by the East and West entrances is being harnessed for this, the 25th edition of the industry's meeting point.
A total of 85,000 m² will thus be occupied by the 1,700 or so exhibitors from 35 countries. The proportion of exhibitors from outside Germany has risen to above 35%, which the organiser sees as a sign of the increasingly international nature of the fair. The main themes to be covered at the five-day event are new materials, 3D/4D print technologies, process solutions for the processing and machining of hybrid, composite and laminated materials and the keyword "Industry 4.0".
The last Fakuma staged two years ago attracted 45,721 visitors (see Plasteurope.com of 20.10.2015).
