“ProPak Africa” held in Johannesburg later this month
Billed as the largest packaging, food processing, plastics, printing and labelling exhibition on the African continent, the next “ProPak Africa” fair (www.propakafrica.co.za) will take place in Johannesburg / South Africa from 15-18 March 2016. The exhibition brings together experts from the food and beverage processing, packaging, pharmaceutical and cosmetics, retail and wholesale, plastics manufacturing, printing and labelling segments.
More than 450 suppliers will be present at the four-day event, which also boasts a number of conferences and workshops, organiser Specialised Exhibitions (Southdale / South Africa; www.specialised.com) says. The latter include the Propak Africa Packaging Conference, which will bring together experts from the entire value chain, as well as the Plastics SA Conference, which will address the issue of how people, planet and profit are affected by the current and future plastics environment.
The last edition of “Propak Africa” took place in 2013 and drew more than 13,000 visitors as well as about 530 exhibitors. Close to 300 of the latter were international, while the percentage of visitors from abroad came to 20%.
