The next “Utech Europe” (www.utecheurope.eu) polyurethanes exhibition and conference will take place in Maastricht / The Netherlands from 14-16 April 2015. Organiser Crain Communications (Croydon / UK; www.crain.co.uk) said the three-day event is expected to draw even more visitors than the 3,500 who attended the last fair, held in 2012. To date, more than 80 exhibitors have already registered for the event, which also includes a multifaceted conference programme, covering areas such as markets, renewable resources, innovation, flexible foams as well as energy-efficient rigid foams, among others.

The organiser also plans to feature a workshop by the European Diisocyanate & Polyol Producers Association (ISOPA, Brussels / Belgium; www.isopa.org) as well as a PDA polyuria session.

According to a recent study by IAL Consultants (London / UK; www.ialconsultants.com), production of polyurethane products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is forecast to grow by an average of 2.9% per year to more than 6.63m t between 2013 and 2018 (see Plasteurope.com of 22.09.2014).
